The filename format is LISTNAME.LOGYYMM.txt, where YYMM translates to Year and Month, so GNNDEVELOPER-L.LOG9603.txt is the archive of the GNNDEVELOPER-L mailing list for the full month of March, 1996. In addition, some of the files were hacked up by the America Online email system on their way back from the old mailing list server.
